He wasn't asking if we were better then the Flyers, but if this is this worst Sabre team ever. And the Flyers are better then the Sabres right now. They hav't played as many games yet....I would definatly bet on them if they played the Sabres tonight.

It seems that way. However, teams get better and teams get worse throughout the season. It's not logical to think that any team maintains any level of play, be it elite, or completely piss poor throughout an 82 game season. There will be a time where this team wins 3, maybe even 4 games in a row, if only by accident. And that's what I am afraid of. If this team shows even slight improvement, ownership will use it as an excuse to hold the front office together.

That being said, talent isn't the reason they are 1-8-1. Talent may be the reason that they aren't a very good team, but they shouldn't be this bad either. It's all about lack of attention to detail, and that comes from the coaching staff. Ted Black said that firing Regier now would be a panic move. It is time to panic. This shouldn't be acceptable, and the fact that nobody has to answer for this here and now is downright disgusting.

I agree. Make a change. They will put together a few short winning streaks. Hopefully, that doesn't alter any decisions.

No, don't make a change. Let this continue. Don't give them any excuses to have 2nd thoughts about a total rebuild.

Idk, when the team was mediocre, they seldom put together 3 game winning streaks let alone 4. This could really shape up to a less than 10 season win.

jesus Christ they better get over 16 wins lol

last place teams usually finish around 25-30 wins...I cant see buffalo not even reaching 20-25

they've been facing pretty high quality opposition so far this year

Part of me feels incredibly infantile and rude for suggesting this, but if the "Fire Darcy" chants started tomorrow right at the opening faceoff on National TV, with NBC/NBCSN's top crew at the game, I would be amused.

It's going to take this team getting thoroughly embarrassed in order to get any sort of real change going.
